Slippery Souls By Rachael H. Dixon

Libby is tired of her relationship with her boyfriend. She just doesn't like him anymore, yeah they fight and argue but it's not that, she has no feelings for him whatsoever. She just wants him out so she can be done with it all. Libby was so happy thinking that he would leave some time, when she goes out to walk her dog Rufus what she doesn't expect is that someone is out there planning on killing her and they succeed. Now Libby wakes up in an "afterlife" but this isn't the afterlife that you hear about in movies with a bright light or a golden gate. It's the total opposite. She and her dog wake up in Sunray Bay. Libby has no idea what this place is but she decides to go exploring, what she doesn't know Is the dangers that lie ahead but she will soon find out. The hard way.

This book was great I could definitely connect with Libby in some of the moments throughout the book. I liked her character she was funny and tough as nails cause she actually fought back and she wasn't going to let anyone hurt her. I just loved that about her. I am so glad I read this book cause I thought its was a delightful and original story. I will say that In the beginning I was a little confused I didn't know what was going on, but I decided to restart it and read it again. At the time I was reading 4 books at the same time so that was one of the reasons I was confused. But I did enjoy it I will be recommending it. It was witty and funny most of the time but also it was action packed. Full of mystery and it was beautifully written It's perfect all together. I will reread this book over and over again it was a great read. Thank you Rachael for giving me the chance to read it.

  1. Yay for main characters that are "tough as nails" - my favorite kind! And I always love a story that's original. Glad to hear you enjoyed this one! Thanks for the review. :)
